Order Processing Time
Processing times vary by product type and brand:
- In-stock items: Processed within 2–5 business days (excluding weekends and holidays)
- Custom or made-to-order items: May require 4–6 weeks for production before shipping
- Modern Scents handmade products: Processed within 3–7 business days
- Planners, journals, and apparel (Modern Heiress): Processed within 2–5 business days
Once your order ships, you will receive a confirmation email with tracking details.

Shipping Costs
- Free Standard Shipping on eligible orders within the continental United States
- Expedited shipping is available at checkout for an additional cost
- International shipping rates are calculated at checkout based on destination and weight
International Shipping
We ship to select international destinations across The Modern Collective brands.
- Estimated delivery: 10–21 business days
- Customers are responsible for customs duties, taxes, and import fees
- Not all products (especially furniture or oversized items) are eligible for international shipping

Order Tracking
Once shipped, you will receive a tracking number via email.
Please allow 24–48 hours for tracking updates to appear.
If you experience issues with tracking, contact our support team for assistance.
Damaged, Missing, or Incorrect Items
Please inspect your order immediately upon delivery.
If your item arrives damaged, missing, or incorrect, contact us within 48 hours of delivery at:

- Your order number
- Clear photos of the issue and packaging
We will coordinate a replacement, store credit, or refund based on the situation and product type.
Returns & Exchanges
- Returns and exchanges are accepted within 30 days of delivery
- Items must be unused, unworn, and in original packaging
- Return shipping fees may apply unless the item is defective or incorrect
- Refunds are issued after the returned item is received and inspected

Non-Returnable Items
The following items are final sale and not eligible for return or exchange:
- Custom or made-to-order furniture
- Clearance or final sale items
- Used, altered, or damaged items caused by the customer
- Items missing original packaging
Shipping Restrictions
- We do not ship to P.O. Boxes, APO/FPO addresses, or certain remote locations
- Oversized furniture may have limited shipping availability
- If your order is affected, we will contact you with alternative options
Delayed or Lost Shipments
If your order is delayed beyond the estimated delivery timeframe, please contact our support team.
For lost shipments, we will work with the carrier to investigate and offer a replacement or refund, when applicable.
